AEO Query Generator

Find the questions ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity are already getting about your topic. 30-50 queries per topic, grouped by intent and tagged by priority — ready for your content plan.

Inputs

Tell us your topic

Only the topic is required — everything else sharpens the output.

The product, service, or topic you sell — e.g. 'CRM software', 'running shoes', 'tax accountant'.

Unlocks branded + alternative queries.

Comma-separated. Powers 'X vs Y' and 'alternatives' queries.

Specific beats generic — 'remote sales teams' > 'professionals'.

The job your product is hired for.

Adds geo queries like 'best X in [city]'.

Enter a topic on the left and we'll generate the queries AI assistants are likely to receive about it — grouped by intent, with priority and CSV export.

Why generate queries, not keywords?

Keyword tools were built for Google in 2015. AI assistants changed the shape of search — questions are longer, conversational, and intent-laden.

30-50 queries per topic

Six intent buckets covered: informational, commercial, comparison, how-to, branded, local. Add competitors or a location to unlock the bonus templates.

Priority-tagged

Each query is labeled high / medium / low by funnel position so you know where to start. Branded + commercial + comparison rank highest because they convert directly.

Ready for your content plan

Filter by intent, copy one query, copy the whole list, or export CSV. Drop it straight into Notion or a sprint plan and write to the queries that matter most.

Six intents, six content strategies

Each intent needs a different kind of page. Use this cheatsheet to plan what to publish.

Informational
What is X? How does X work?

Long-form explainer with FAQPage schema. H2 questions, factual one-paragraph answers. Used for top-of-funnel awareness.

Commercial
Best X for Y. Top X 2026.

Listicle or comparison page. Include a real, fair ranking with criteria. Add Product / Review schema. Highest CTR from AI citations.

Comparison
X vs Y. X alternatives.

Head-to-head pages and 'alternatives to X' lists. Use BreadcrumbList + Article schema. AI assistants quote these directly into 'what should I pick?' answers.

How-to
How to set up X. How to use X.

Step-by-step tutorials with HowTo schema. Each step gets a heading + image. High value for existing customers who would otherwise contact support.

Branded
X pricing. X review.

Own these queries by hosting authoritative pages on your domain — pricing, customer reviews, integrations. If you don't, Reddit and G2 will.

Local
Best X in [city]. X near me.

LocalBusiness schema with full PostalAddress + GeoCoordinates + openingHours. Plus a Google Business Profile for the geo grounding.

Frequently asked questions

How AEO queries differ from keywords, and how to rank for them.

What's an AEO query?
An AEO query is the kind of natural-language question someone types into ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or Perplexity instead of into Google. They tend to be longer and more conversational than search keywords — 'What's the best CRM for a 10-person sales team?' rather than 'best CRM'. Ranking inside the AI's answer for these queries is what AEO is.
How is this different from a keyword research tool?
Traditional keyword tools (Ahrefs, Semrush) optimize for what people type into Google. They report monthly search volume from clickstream data. This tool generates the questions people are likely to ask an AI assistant — which are usually 3-10× longer, often missing from keyword tools, and reflect intent more directly. Use both: keywords for SEO, queries for AEO.
Why are queries grouped by intent?
Different intents need different page strategies. Informational queries ('what is X?') need explainer content with FAQ schema. Commercial queries ('best X 2026') need comparison pages and listicles. Comparison ('X vs Y') needs head-to-head pages. Branded ('X pricing') needs to live on your domain so the AI sends users to you, not Reddit. Grouping makes the content-plan obvious.
What does priority mean?
We tag each query as high / medium / low based on funnel position. High-priority queries are bottom-of-funnel (branded, commercial, comparison) — they convert directly. Medium are mid-funnel (how-to, audience-specific informational). Low would be very top-of-funnel awareness queries. Start with high-priority for the fastest revenue impact.
Will AI assistants actually receive these exact queries?
Yes — the templates we use are derived from the most common conversational patterns observed in published ChatGPT / Perplexity query datasets and from the OpenAI search-grounding traces ChatGPT shows when it browses. Exact wording varies but the shapes ('what is X', 'X vs Y', 'best X for Y') are robust.
How do I rank inside AI answers for these queries?
Four pillars: (1) Write content where the H1 or first 200 words directly answers the query, (2) add FAQPage / Article / Product schema so the Q&A is machine-readable, (3) build sameAs citations (Wikipedia, LinkedIn, Crunchbase, industry directories) so the AI can disambiguate your brand, (4) ship a clear llms.txt so the AI knows what's on your site. The free FixAEO audit checks all four.
Can I export the queries?
Yes — the CSV export gives you a 3-column file (query, intent, priority) ready to drop into Notion, Airtable, a spreadsheet, or whatever you use for content planning. Copy-all gives you a plain-text list if you'd rather paste straight into a doc.
Is this free?
Yes — entirely. No signup, no rate limits. Runs in your browser. The query list is yours to use.

Want to see which of these you already rank for?

The free FixAEO audit tests your brand against real AI engines — ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, and Grok — and tells you which queries you appear in, with what sentiment, and which sources the AI cited.
